We found a place!!

After what seemed like endless searching, Ed and I have found the perfect place. We will be getting married in Historic Smithville in Galloway Township. Getting married in a colonial village!! It's exactly what I wanted! I don't know why I didn't look here in the first place. This is the garden area where we will be married. The date is August 12, 2006 - and hopefully the rest of the planning will go as smooth as this is going so far. I dropped off the deposit on Monday, during my lunch break, and now this whole thing finaly feels real. I never planned on getting married on this side of the state, but I guess it just worked out that way. It's kind of funny, because I covered this town as part of my original beat at the paper, and often wrote articles about various parts of Smithvile. And as the mayor of Galloway told me when I shared the news with him, "Haddonfield is nice, but this is the 'real' South Jersey. "

Indeed.

To everyone who put up with my rants over not finding a place, I thank you. Hopefully, it is all easier from here. Let the planning begin!!
