Rain rain go away
I'm feeling a little grey, and it's not just from the wedding stress. This is a chart for the month of August from dryday.com (thanks to Jim Six for giving me another web site to obsess over). It's a fairly accurate weather-predicting site that keeps track of data from the past three years to predict weather for you up to one year in advance.
The yellow bars mean low chance of rain. Grey bars mean chance of rain. Black bars mean high chance of rain.
I was banking on what the Farmer's Almanac told me and hoped for a fatty yellow bar. No such luck. For the 12th, a gray bar hovering at around 40 percent, and a hefty black bar the night of my wedding rehearsal and dinner.
Sigh.
I guess at this point I have to remember a good piece of advice one of my knottie friends, Ynnette, told me.
"There is one thing you have absolutely no control over, and that's the weather," she said. "So it's the one thing you shouldn't worry about."
Me, worry? (insert a big black bar here)
Here's holding out hope for sunshine.
